Teen Volunteers

Teen counselors are 9th-12 graders who are leaders and well grounded in their Christian faith. They are expected to go through the Camp Hope training (see schedule for time and location nearest to you) and are able to commit to the entire week of Camp Hope. Teen counselors play a very important role at Camp Hope®.

Every camper is paired in a one-on-one relationship with their teen counselor . We have high expectations for our teen counselors because we depend on them to run the camp, oversee their camper 24/7 and learn how to just be a "kid" again with their camper. The role of Teen Counselor is not only a counselor, but a mentor, sister/brother, and friend for the whole week.

Teen counselors and campers are reunited in December for Hope for Christmas and are encouraged to stay in touch with one another throughout the year.

Senior Teen Application*

*1) Applicants for "Senior Teen" position need to turn in both a Camp Hope application AND Senior Teen application and
2) Senior Teen applicants are required to have been a teen counselor at Camp Hope for 2 years or more.
